My standard double room had central heating, an iron and ironing board, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Plus, it was situated in an amazing location down the hill. 😊.

Everything was great! Room was clean, tidy, peaceful and excellent to recharge batteries. Staff were very nice, simple and warm people and always trying to give their best for us to have the most pleasent experience. The pool was small but nice, breakfast was brilliant with local fresh products (believe us...we're portuguese and we know what we are talking about). We totally recommend this place!!!!
Everything was great, maybe only the price (we stayed in the cheapest room I.E. €80/night) was a bit too much in relative terms. However it depends on your target population, if their aiming at foreigners it a more than ok price, if their aiming at portuguese it is a bit too much.

A small intimate hotel, everything beautifully done. Good breakfast, no hot stuff but very good nevertheless. Real coffee!
Some confusion on departure as we thought we had already paid 50% but apparently we hadn'T.

We stayed for two nights in Casa do Platano and directly received a hearty welcome, the staff helped us with our suitcases and we were surprised by the lovely room in red tints. The bathroom is very modern with lotions and gels from Rituals. The bed was very comfi. What we often miss in hotels is practicality. Here you could see, every small detail has been taken care of. When my laptop could not connect with their wireless system, I immediately received a spare laptop of the owner. The breakfast is elaborate with fresh fruits and cheeses from the area and home made cakes and jams. What we liked best, as we have a b & b ourselves, is personal attention. As well as the owner as the lovely lady working there, are genuine in their approach and interest in their guests needs.I Have seen many hotels in my former career as purser with klm airlines and Casa do Platano is the best !!!
